About this event
Looking for a way to make a difference in your community? We will be joining existing volunteers at Emanuel Food Pantry on Wednesday, May 27 to help with their weekly food distribution program. No experience is necessary but we are lifting boxes and standing.
The shift we have selected to (hopefully) fill is Wednesday, May 27 at 1:30 pm. We know this during a work day; the pantry only operates Monday through Thursday10 AM to 4 PM. The thinking is that the Wednesday afternoon pickup shift -- where folks come to receive their distributions -- is the time of THEIR greatest need --16 volunteers, of which about half are "regulars" on the signup.
We hope to complete that 1:30 to 4 PM shift that day - Wednesday, May 27 - with Durham attorneys. We have SEVEN spaces being held for us.
